Sr. Oracle Database Administrator

Responsibilities

·        Manage the installation, configuration, patching, and upgrading of Oracle Database versions 12c-19c, or higher.

·        Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies using tools such as RMAN and Data Pump to ensure data integrity and availability.

·        Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting of database systems utilizing ASH, ADDM, and AWR reports to optimize performance.

·        Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.

·        Monitor and maintain database security, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

·        Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application development and deployment processes.

·        Conduct data migration using various methodologies, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.

·        Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior database administrators and support staff.

·        Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.

·        Stay updated with the latest Oracle technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovations.

 

Requirements

·        Strong expertise in Oracle Database versions 12c-19c, or higher.

·        Extensive experience with backup and recovery tools such as RMAN and Data Pump.

·        Deep understanding of performance tuning and troubleshooting techniques, including ASH, ADDM, and AWR.

·        Proven experience in implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions like RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.

·        Familiarity with Exadata and ZDLRA is considered a significant advantage.

·        Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix environments; proficiency in Shell Scripting is a plus.

·        Good understanding of storage, networking, and clustering concepts relevant to database management.

·        Experience with various data migration techniques and methodologies.

·        Strong problem-solving skills in mission-critical environments with high availability requirements.

·        Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across diverse teams.
